Luxurious and private 5-acre getaway beachfront property with a garden, gazebos, and cabanas. Enjoy breathtaking deck views of the Atlantic Ocean with great swimming and snorkeling in crystal blue shallow water, perfect for children. Miles of beautiful pink sand to walk on and the large gazebo in the tropical garden to enjoy while listening to the sound of the sea.
The 'Garden of Light' is a two-story 3 bedroom house, fully furnished and equipped. The house sleeps up to 6 guests with 2 master bedrooms and 1 smaller room with twin beds. The house is less than 1 min walk down a private path to one of the most beautiful beaches on the Island.
The property has two homes that can be rented to accommodate larger groups. Please see Desert Roses' front beach cottage, which sleeps 4 guests.
We also rent Monticello - Blue Bahia Villa in Ten Bay, Eleuthera - sleeps 7 guests.

About The Owner
We are a family of four and we live in the United States.
Our passion for the Island of Eleuthera started in 2003 when we first went there on vacation.
We went back the year after as we really loved those pink sand beaches and the friendly local people.
We purchased our first home in 2005, we now own the Desert Rose house and the Garden of Light villa on the Atlantic coastal side, and the Blue Bahia villa on the Caribbean side of Eleuthera.
As we believe we have been lucky to find this paradise, we have decided to share our homes with guests.

Garden of Light is centrally located off of the Bank's Road between Palmetto Point and Governor's Harbour. It's 4 miles south of Governor's Harbour and 1 miles north of the settlement of North Palmetto Point, where you will find a grocery store, liquor store, and a several restaurants.

Wonderfully Relaxing!
We loved our stay at Garden of Light. The property was perfect for us. My kids and I were able to have our own space downstairs and my father had his own space upstairs. Perfect after a long day exploring the island. Try as we might, we could not top the snorkeling at the beach in front of the house! The kids spent hours exploring the reefs and learning the names of the fish they saw. Having a virtually private beach was a luxury!

Great house, awesome private beach
The house was absolutely perfect, everything worked as promised. The beach is amazing and private, the house is secluded so you can enjoy the privacy but still a short drive to anything you might need in governers harbor! The property manager was super helpful when we arrived and helped us get in contact with everyone at the location. Just a tip for anyone looking for fresh fish, we didn't have much luck in governers harbor but tarpum bay which is only 20 minutes away was perfect for that!

Loved this beautiful property!
My two daughters, their significant others, and I stayed at the property for a week over Christmas. We absolutely loved it. The kitchen was very well furnished, there were lots of beach chairs, snorkels, fins, floaties, etc. The bedrooms were comfortable. The living space was perfect. What I loved about it the most was all of the outdoor living space. It is a super quick walk to the beach, which is lovely. We would definitely stay there again. The caretaker was wonderful, too!

Great place to vacation
This was our second trip to Eleuthera and we had a great time staying at the The Garden of Light. The garden and surrounding grounds are beautiful (humming birds and butterflies were frequent visitors). There is plenty of "outside" space (patio, decks) to relax. There is a very short walk to the beach through a palm tree lined path where there is a very good beach. At night we watched the stars from the 2nd story deck. The central location of the house is ideal for exploring other parts of Eluethera. The dirt road to the house can be a bit daunting to a first time traveler to Eleuthera, but it's just the way things roll in Eleuthera. I highly recommend the Garden of Light.
