Situated on a 9-mile-long beach in Double Bay, with views of the sapphire blue waters of the Atlantic and two small idyllic islands.

Blue Turtle Cottage was built in 2021. Everything is new and shiny. Enjoy preparing a evening meal in the fully equipped kitchen, which includes custom-made cabinetry, gorgeous ocean blue tile backsplash and top of the line fixtures and appliances. You may prefer to grill on the outdoor BBQ while enjoying your favorite cocktail while swinging in the hammock in the beautiful evening sun.
However, you decide to spend your time, Blue Turtle Cottage is truly a dream come true.
For the more adventurous, enjoy one of the 3 kayaks we have available at the cottage.

Hello,
Our names are Linda & Randall. We currently live in Florida.
My husband Randall is originally from Maryland, but since leaving there in 1990, he has lived in many places, including Europe and the Caribbean. I am originally from England, although I have lived in Florida for the past 20+ years now. We both enjoy everything the islands have to offer, Scuba diving, snorkeling, the picture-perfect beaches, delicious restaurants, and the overall relaxed island lifestyle.
The cottage means a lot to us, we hope you enjoy your stay at our home.

Policies
There is no trash pick-up on the island of Eleuthere. Each guest must take their trash to one of the main dumps on Queens Highway. We recommend doing this daily or every other day to avoid unwanted guests.
Please use water sparingly; water is a precious resource on the island.
Strictly no smoking or vaping in the cottage. Fines up to $500 for each violation.

This place was perfect for us.
First of all, the beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles in either direction which I gather is not the case with many beaches in the Bahamas. The view from both rooms is beautiful and the sound of the waves for 4 days was like getting a couple years of therapy. The bed and furnishings are comfortable. The decor is super beachy and cute. Everything works better than what I have at home. It was super clean. Like I said, it was basically perfect.

Beautiful remote location, very private. Fabulous ocean and lush tropical garden views.
Swimmable beach less than 10 minute walk down the beach.
Cottage is very cute, cozy and clean. Access roads are narrow and very bumpy. Be prepared for biting insects, typical of a tropical locale, esp. if anyone is sensitive. Windy days help.
Host Linda was great, very responsive and helpful.

We had an absolutely wonderful time!
Linda's home was perfect, matched the description and pictures. Upon arrival she had the thermostats set so it was cool inside and lovely beach music playing, a wonderful welcome. Linda left lots of useful information about places & restaurants. She was super responsive whenever we reached out with a question. Her detailed description on how to locate her house and other places was extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this place if you like privacy, beautiful surroundings, and love to just relax and do some bone fishing. Ten Bay was the closest beach to the house (a short drive) to the Caribbean side. Perfect beach for bone fishing and just relaxing in crystal clear, shallow waters that go on for miles. We hope to go back again and will definitely stay here if we do! Thank you Linda :)

I totally recommend this beautiful cottage for vacationing.
The Cottage is very private, clean, and feels like home.
The beach is literally all yours (and I mean all 5+ miles of it).
We loved the place and the Host, and we already are planning our next stay at the Blue Turtle Cottage.
The Host was wonderful. The place was wonderful. The People of Eleuthera are friendly. The beaches are beautiful. The food around is great.
Most places take credit cards, and having cash with you is a good backup just in case you need it.
Rent a (AWD or 4x4) vehicle so that you can drive to the many places, beaches and restaurants around. The farthest places to drive to from the cottage (up north or south) are around 1.5 hours away. Visit Ten Bay, 10 minutes away.
Make sure your phone data plan supports international, and when getting there if it is not working, just turn the phone off and back on. Navigating the Island is much simpler with GPS and Maps, and remember to drive on the left side.

better than described!
Linda’s place was better than described! We wanted a place that was private and somewhat remote and at the same time was close to great restaurants in North, Central and South Eluethera. My girlfriend and I were there to flyfish for bonefish. We explored the entire island in several days. It always felt good to come to this wonderful house where we felt like we were the only ones on the island. Besides having all the comforts, Linda’s place has cold a/c that is a necessity in such a warm climate.
