Description
The house is built to take advantage of its location on the water with bedrooms and living area facing the ocean. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed; the second bedroom has twins that can be converted to a king. Plenty of linens provided. While rates quoted are for 2 persons, this house works well for 2 couples because of the way it is laid out with bedrooms on each end and a common living area in the center. Bedrooms and living area open to the front deck and water. Each bedroom has its own covered sitting area that joins the front deck. For those who like to cook, the kitchen is well-furnished. Or, guests could elect to have a true Bahamian meal cooked for them at the house by contacting Sue Knowles; her number is posted at the house. Many local restaurants are within easy driving distance to the house. The property offers privacy. Serenity Cove home is tucked back in a cove and sits in the center of three lots, all owned by the property owner. Watch the night life on the water with the help of high-beam lighting that covers the cove area. Ten Bay Beach is one of the nicest beaches on Eleuthera; great for sunbathing, swimming, walking, and snorkeling right from the beach. Vacationers enjoy getting into the water in front of the house for swimming and snorkeling, or going to the beach which is a short 50 yards through the water. Many folks vist the entire island, but say their favorite place is right at Ten Bay Beach! A favorite past time is feeding fish from the deck. Serenity Cove offers one 2-person Gemini kayak and 2 single Perception Tribe kayaks with gear. The deck on this house is high and over coral rock. We always caution folks with small children. If you are an island visitor, you realize the tiny no-see-ums also love the area. We recommend that visitors who are sensitive, bring needed repellent. Water shoes are also recommended to avoid the sea urchins. The wrap-around deck offers you sun (or not) from 3 locations. Guests have explored this island from top to bottom and have found great beaches to explore. Many folks enjoy traveling south to Tarpum Bay to purchase fresh fish from the docks; wait until mid-afternoon. We recommend reading the guest book for ideas, and also entering your own for others to explore. Directions to the house: On Queens Highway, travel 14 miles south of Governor's Harbour airport; roughly 4 miles south of Palmetto Point. After your pass a small sub-station with transformers enclosed in a chain-link fence (on you right), the road to Ten Bay development will be on your right (about 1.5 or less miles). On right, look for sign that has property owners listed. Follow that road for about .8 mile; the house is on the right; palm trees lining drive to house.

Located 8 miles south of Governor's Harbour, the capital of Eleuthera. Walker's Cottage is the 5th house from the beach and has maximum seclusion on both sides of it.
One of the main features of this house is its location. In front of the house is a wide cove that is housed by grouper, yellow tail and other fish. Visitors are often delighted to see rays and manta rays swim by, and an occasional nurse shark. It's fun to feed the fish from the large back deck. Flood lights light up the cove at night to showcase the night life on the water.

Perfect location
Serenity Cove is in the perfect location. You are on the water but have an amazing beach just a short walk or even a kayak paddle away. There are nearby homes but with all the vegetation you feel secluded.
The house is very comfortable and has an ample kitchen if you like cooking. We rented a car from the caretaker, Arthur Nixon, and he made it easy. We would take drinks to the beach to watch the sunset. Snorkeling is good and very easy right off of the steps at the house. The included kayaks were great and we paddled to nearby Kemps Creek. We are already planning our next trip back and will definitely be staying here again.

Great house, beautiful location
Just what the doctor ordered. Serenity Is an apt name for this place as it was indeed. We had a great time for two weeks with great views of Ten Bay Beach. We counted five people on the beach once so it was never crowded. Lots of fish around the deck including, rays, and barracuda. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Car rental was easy. We didn’t even need the AC as with the doors open the breeze provided natural ac. I would rent again in a heartbeat. Thanks for allowing us to share your home

We are glad that you enjoyed your two week visit to the island and Serenity Cove. Yes, the island beaches are never crowded. Ten Bay beach is one of the best on the island because of its location. We are close enough to restaurants and shopping but far enough away that the beach area is usually quiet. Because the house is tucked back into the cove, fish enjoy the “front yard.” One of the nice features is that we own the two adjoining lots so these will not be developed. Snorkeling around the coral ledges offers you an abundance of aquatic life. So glad the house met your needs. Please visit again!!

Serenity Cove is Amazing!
My wife and I along with another couple just returned from Eleuthera last week completing our stay at Serenity Cove. The place exceeded our expectations! The views off the back deck were spectacular as we could see trumpet fish, barracuda, sting rays in the water and a beautiful view of Ten Bay Beach in the distance. The two single kayaks and one double kayak were put to good use allowing us to snorkel around the cove. We saw lobster, lion fish and an assortment of coral right out front. The kitchen was well equipped, bedrooms very spacious with king size beds in each one. Two separate bathrooms and a spacious living room made this place perfect for two couples. The location is in the middle of the island allowing us to drive to either end in about an hour. Make sure to rent an SUV to get access to the remote beaches. Rock and Nell were fantastic hosts, giving us great instructions on things to do and where to shop for food, or eat out. One of the best suggestions was for us to go to the dock in Governor's Harbor to get the fresh fish brought in by the local fisherman. We cooked most of our meals at the house, with breakfast eaten on the back deck or grilling our fresh fish on the charcoal grill. All in all, Serenity Cove is perfect spot to enjoy the beauty and wonders of Eleuthera right in your own clear water back yard.
