We have stayed at Tropical Impulse for 8 years now, and wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. The house is truly well cared for; many improvements and updates over the years. The owner, Ken Wiley truly cares about the property. The huge deck overlooks the ocean with wonderful reefs just off shore.

From the moment you land in Governors Harbor, you can't help but be captivated by the charm of Eleuthera. Winding your way down the sleepy Banks Road into Palmetto Point, the Tropical Impulse overlooks a private, pink sandy beach with its own sheltered cove.
Breathtaking turquoise waters and the calm surf lapping at the shoreline will leave you mesmerized for hours. Swimming, kayaking, beachcombing and snorkeling opportunities abound with a vibrant reef system just offshore. Bring your Go Pro!
Tropical Impulse is clean, well appointed, and boasts three bedrooms easily sleeping six with an additional pullout couch to accommodate the little urchins. The fins, snorkel gear, beach chairs and kayak are all on site. Just show up and relax. Enjoy cooking in the kitchen (everything you could need is there) and dining inside or outside on the large terrace/patio. Or just enjoy a game of shuffleboard on the outdoor patio.
Essentially, Tropical Impulse offers peaceful seclusion in a majestic and tranquil settling. Yet, within minutes you will find a hive of nearby activity including grocery stores, shoppes, breakfast at the Buccaneer, sipping cocktails at Fishbones or enjoying dinner/music at a number of nearby restaurants including Tippy's or La Bougainvillea.
This marks our fifth trip to Eleuthera. We have explored no less than 50 of its beautiful and alluring beaches-- none better than the one just steps away from your bedroom door at Tropical Impulse
We will definitely be back!!

All of the reviews are accurate as far as this area of the world being heaven on earth. You can’t get a better beach, finer sand, and gorgeous views anywhere else! It truly is worth it to come to Eleuthera for those reasons.
Tropical Impulse — it is great location in the beach. a beautiful beach house, with an 80s feel/motif. While we were there, we encountered a few problems with the house and the owner was quick to have his service people fix them. They did a great job managing the property remotely. I felt as if he really wanted to make things right, so we appreciated that very much. Remember, there are bugs...lots of “noseeums” on the beach and yes, large palmetto bugs. There are geckos in the house, so that is a comfort to know that they are taking care of any bugs indoors. The ‘third’ bedroom in this house is actually a separate apartment below the house with connecting outdoors steps. We used the deck quite a lot as it is expansive and gets enough sunlight.
Bahamas —
Helpful tips: Lots of bugs....Make sure you bring Avon
Skin So Soft and something that has DEET in it. I think before our stay was over, I had over a hundred bites in my legs. We came here for Christmas, and I have to say that if you want to go somewhere for the warmth and sunshine, there are no guarantees this time of year (which it is supposedly peak season..not sure about that). For three days we had rain and high winds. Out of the 9 days, we had two’ish sunny days!
You aren’t really coming to the Bahamas for the food...unless you want to pay beacoups bucks for what I consider just an ok meal...island food and restaurants are expensive. Do your research online as far as what food to bring as there are many helpful articles out there.
Lobstering, due to the high winds — it was impossible to catch any lobster. My husband who is experienced with snorkeling and diving went out almost everyday and came back with nothing! We finally our purchased lobster tail at a local restaurant!
Also, in order to see a sunset, this house is located on the east side of the island, so you have to drive across (15ish minutes) to catch a sunset
We will definitely visit Eleuthera again, but most likely in the summer when pineapples are in season.

What a great location. The beach is incredible which is where we spent 90% of our time. Ken was a great host and very responsive to anything we had questions on. Would definitely go back!

Lovely home with a paved road. The beach for the house was the best one on the road. Our neighbors used it due to the great location. The house had everything we needed and great extras like the kayaks, snorkel gear and hammock. Beds were comfy and the linens very nice. Could have used a couple more beach towels but the washer and dryer are there so it worked. Ken worked with us on late check out and Leslie was very responsive when we contacted him. Great home for families or a group.

Enjoyed our stay on the island. We rented a car though owners recommendation and had no troubles. The house suited our needs and we can’t wait to go back!
