DISCOVER THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF TEN BAY BEACH

Ten Bay Beach Vacation Rentals

Located towards the middle of the island and only eight miles from the capital of Eleuthera, Governor's Harbour, Ten Bay Beach is the perfect vacation spot for families, friends or couples. It is considered by many to be the best beach area for small children as the shallow water of the bay extends several hundred feet from shore. The beach is the longest and straightest Caribbean side beach on the island stretching 1/2 a mile. The beach sand is soft and cool. The water entry is easy with smooth sand almost it's entire length. Good snorkeling can be found along the rock ledges on either side of the bay. There is ample shade provided by tall Casuarina Trees that run from end to end. Whether you wish to swim, snorkel, kayak, paddle board or just kick your toes up in the sand, Ten Bay Beach is one of the best on the island.

Conveniently located between the three neighboring beach communities of Double Bay, Little Bay and Savannah Sound, Ten Bay Beach also is home to one of the more interesting cave systems on the island with numerous inhabiting bats. Entry to the cave is via a foot path that borders a small parking area just north of the long 3 mile straightaway. There is a ladder to descend into the cave. Strong flashlights and good shoes that you don't mind getting bat droppings on are also important accessories. If you enjoy some spelunking and want to experience the wild side of Eleuthera then definitely visit this system.

One of the best qualities of Ten Bay Beach are our sunsets. Depending on the time of the year you can watch the sun dip into the ocean on the horizon and even be gifted with a green flash on occasion.

You can find many sand dollars and starfish in the shallows. Typical reef species include tang, puffer, grouper, barracuda, hogfish, French, gray and queen angelfish, crab, lobster, conch and even an occasional reef shark or batfish.

Travelers who really want to chill will love Ten Bay Beach . If you want a taste of authentic Out Islands Bahamas then look no further than our fine selection of Ten Bay Beach vacation rentals.
