Caribbean Paradice

This was our first trip to the Bahamas and we could not have picked a better place to stay in Eleuthera. The house was everything they said it would be and more. All the bedrooms were large enough so we did not feel cramped. The kitchen was well stocked with anything we needed for cooking, cleaning and drinking. Livingroom/kitchen was open and very comfortable. The balcony was wonderful and we spent EVERY morning sitting on it watching the sunrise over the hill top (on the left) drinking our coffee. We grilled a couple of meals outside on the balcony and sat at the table enjoying the breeze as it blew across. At night, we sat on the balcony and could see the small township of Governor's Harbour. We saw a couple of ships bringing in supplies. The water was beautiful and we enjoyed snorkeling right out in front of the house. The steps going into the water was good but could be a bit slippery!! Make sure to were some kind of beach shoes. There were hand rails to help secure the entry into the water. The island right across from the house was a great place to kayak and snorkel around. The town was very laid back and the people were friendly. Shopping was limited but nice. The food was expensive but good. Tippi's was the best place as far as gong out to eat. (We ate there twice.) We would absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for peace, seclusion and a laid back atmosphere. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had. The airport is just about a five minute drive to the house and Governor's Harbor was about another five minutes. Beaches were BEAUTIFUL and PINK!! The entire week we were there we saw maybe 8 people on a beach. Very private. The best beach we found, we called "Cpt Jacks" because we could not find out what the actual name was. Look for the sign on the same road as Tippi's. Make sure to request an off-road type vehicle. (Truck, jeep or van, etc) Most roads going to the beaches are bad and not suited for low riding cars:(

Overall trip................GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS.......bring your pillows;)

Honeymooners

WOW! Caribbean Blue was the perfect place to stay for our honeymoon! My husband and I were more than pleased with our stay. Everything was so clean when we arrived and even more stocked than we expected. It far exceeded our expectations! The book of beaches was so helpful and our personal favorite was called Lighthouse beach. We took full advantage of the kayak one day and went across to Levi Island. It is at the bottom of the island but well worth the trip on the way back we enjoyed dinner at Sammie's and it was amazing!!! The only things I will mention is definitely bring bug spray and the beach shoes! We had the dream honeymoon in Eleuthera and at Caribbean Blue and hope we have the opportunity to return again someday!

Great Place - Will Return & Recommend To Others !

From Start to Finish This Was A Great Experience To Rent This Beautiful Water Front Home In Governor's Harbour !

The owners and caretaker where very helpful, kind, nice and easy to deal with. This fully air conditioned home is a great value with excellent views. The location in Governors Harbor is where you want to visit. The quaint town with restaurants, shopping, banks & atms, library with internet, beer & wine shops, daily fresh fish & lobster - all the amenities you need are just down the road. At the airport there are taxis drivers, the house is nearby and easy to find.

This house has a nice, fresh, open and airy feeling to it, all rooms are sized good. The house is well stocked with all the items you will need and then some. The family room, dining area, kitchen and balcony are facing the Caribbean water, what a view ! From the balcony we saw schools of fish passing by, a little island, the town and in the distance were ships cursing past. At night the sky is well lit with stars, just another view we enjoyed. The balcony has plenty of room with table, chairs and grill, we enjoy fresh food, tropical fruit drinks, wine and coffee from it.

Access into the water at the house, is easy and safe. A well mounted railing with steps to the water is just steps away from the house with a outside shower. We used the kayak and visited the little island just off shore, saw lots of birds, star fish, colorful fish everywhere - water is crystal clear. I have stayed at other homes on this island and found this one to be another winner in Governor's Harbour, the town to visit.
