Great community- has it all

Lovely house on a quiet hill overlooking the Atlantic with Caribbean side only a half mile away. Great house, super comfortable with all the ammenities. Good for families with kids or without. House was cool at night and vey comfortable during the day. Nice neighbors but not too close. Ranibow bay beach is perfect for fishing, beach, snorkeling and just relaxing and meeting a few people but its never crowded and you often have it to yourself. Small town of Jame Cistern nearby was charming and we really enjoyed meeting the towns people during their very special Easter celebrations. Great vacation!

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and that you were able to meet some of the local people. The people are the the best thing about Eleuthera.

Awesome Vacation

What a wonderful place to spend a vacation on Eleuthera. Indigo Seas is a spectacular house that is conveniently located to move all about Eleutehra. We were able to get into Governors Harbor and the beaches there, but also up to Surfers Beach, James Point, Hatchet Bay and other fun beaches quickly from the house. As an added bonus the house is just 2 minutes away from Rainbow Inn, one of our favorite restaurants on the island. Additionally, Caribbiean beaches at Rainbow bay were less than 5 minutes from the house as well. You truly have an embarassment of riches of places to conveniently visit from the house.

We could not have enjoyed the beautiful views of the Atlantic from the deck overlooking the ocean and loved sleeping at night with the windows open and the sea and breeze lulling us to sleep. The house had everything our group of 4 needed and afforded us a nice measure of privacy as well. Indigo Seas is very well maintained and we truly felt at home there. This was our 5th year in a row on the island and one of our best stays yet. The owner and caretaker could not have done a better job of providing for an excellent experience and we could not be more greatful. I highly recommend Indigo Seas to anyone visiting Eleuthera.

Exceeded Expectations

We were blessed to be able to live at Indigo Seas for the entire month of February, 2013. We thought it looked like what we were looking for from the internet listing but everything about the house far exceeded our expectations. The location is super, right on the Atlantic, and when you walk through the front door the views of the ocean are spectacular. The house is decorated simply and tastefully with comfortable and attractive furnishings. Beds are comfortable, the kitchen is outfitted very well with good pots and pans, plenty of dishes and flatware and lots of extras. The owner was very responsive to our questions both before we went and during our stay. If anything, the home looks better in person than on the internet. We had family come visit for part of our stay and they fell in love with it right away, so I would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking of an Eleuthera stay in a fairly central location. Rainbow Bay beach is literally 5 minutes away by car. One of our party regularly walked there and back with no trouble. We had morning coffee at the Rainbow Bay Inn and met a lot of friendly people and also went back for dinner. Just up the road in Hatchet Bay we got the most delicious stone crab claws from the charming couple who run The Front Porch. Great service and fair prices. I think that is about a 10 minute drive. The house was very clean and welcoming. The exterior is colorful and cheerful.....very Caribbean looking and fun with lots of flowers and plants in bloom and beautiful birds. I'm glad we took a lot of pictures as we don't want to forget this vacation!

A great place to go on island time.

The beaches; we went to 4 within walking distance and by far the nicest was Rainbow for snorkeling and perfect for a picnic. Beautiful fish, live sand dollars, porpoises WoW. Snorkeling was fun and the water was clean.

The naps on the deck in the sun with the surf breaking on the rocks below while deciding whether to grab another book to read. Great.

The residents of villages and towns on Eleuthera were friendly and pleased to suggest caving and views and places to fish with them. We bought our groceries and learned where to find good bakeries and the must do "Governor's Harbour Fish Fry" on Fridays.

The owner's were very helpful and made sure we knew this was not a resort area but secluded, peaceful and very much a comfortable place to be when you really need to get away from the city.

Even in "winter" there are flowers and green palm and trees. Ahhh!. A rarity in the northern hemipshere in January.

The owners had all the basics and more. Very knowledgeble. They even had supplies to get you by first night until you get some groceries in house. We just replaced them before we left. All in all a fab place to take your family. thank you.

Perfect for 3 couples or a family

We just returned from a 9 day vacation in Eleuthera and stayed at Indigo sea.(Mid Nov.) We were looking for a quite family vacation. Before even booking, we spent some time researching this location. The owners went out of ther way to help us with information and advice for booking vehicles and things to do when we arrived.(There's a valuable welcome booklet with important names and a very detailed information about the island and thingsto do.) Upon arriving, we were definitly surprised at the size of house as the video doesn't do it justice. We had three couples and the set up couldn't have been better as each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom to themselves. The kitchen and living room are an open concept perfect for sharing cooking duties and helping each other for food prep. Since we were family we all cooked together and enjoyed a few beverages during the process. The house is stocked with everything you could want from cooking to washer and dryer (It was like being at home!). Both bathroom towels as well as beach towels are plentiful. This saved us from having to haul our own and pay extra baggage costs. We were even allowed to use their goggles, boogie boards etc. The deck is large and has a beautiful Atlantic view since the house sits up higher off the shore. My wife and I woke early every morning and enjoyed a relaxing coffee on the deck and spotted cruise ships passing daily. The house was stocked with an array of basic necesities as far as groceries and toiletries to get by when you arrive. The policy is "if you use it replenish it before you leave for the next guests". There is internet and a cell phone provided for island use as well satelite tv. If you have any problems or question their care taker is only a call away or you can email the owners directly. A geat central location and I would highly recommend.
