We really enjoyed our stay at Desert Rose.Franki the caretaker was available anytime we needed help along with Barbara We lost internet and water but water was restored quickly.The beach is absolutely beautiful.

My 19 year old son and I stayed 8 nights at Desert Rose. It was an incredible vacation! From the first moment I contacted Barbara, the owner, until I actually came home - her communication and information was top notch. The house was well-equipped and is perfectly represented in the pics. The star of the property is the wrap around porch and deck, along with the spectacular setting - truly paradise! Thank you, Barbara and staff for a wonderful stay... we will be back!

The house had everything we needed and the beach is great.
The property is absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed the seclusion and privacy, yet convenient to Governors Harbour.

We so loved our stay at the Desert Rose! Barbara was great to correspond with, very attentive. The photos did not do view from the house justice. It is absolutely gorgeous. It sits a little up so you have a great view of the turquoise ocean. The beach there was beautiful. And very few people on it. We loved to have coffee on the lower deck. The tiki hut on the beach was also great but you have to bring the beach chairs down to have a place to sit. The house itself was nothing fancy but was perfect for me, my husband and our two young boys. There were bunk beds for the boys and king bed for us. There was one bathroom to share. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. There were two beach chairs to use and lots of floats and a boogie board which was great to have. She has plenty of bath towels and beach towels. My only tiny issue were the bugs at night...mosquitos and noseeums were pretty bad so bring bug spray and maybe pick up a sterno to light if you are out there enjoying the sounds of the waves. Eleuthera itself was a dream. Hundreds of insanely pretty beaches with almost no one on them! We will be back and would love to stay again at the Desert Rose!
