Paradise

This was not our first trip to the island, but will always be one of my favorites. The accommodations were fantastic and the setting spectacular. We had an 8 year old with us and this was a perfect spot for her and the adults alike. The owners and caretaker are great too.

Very beautiful! Perfect location to everything.

Barbara was very quick to get back to us when we emailed her. The house was updated and very cozy. We loved kayaking in the evening. Calm water with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. If we were to ever come back, we would stay here again.

Ten Bay Family Retreat

This was our second time in Eleuthera and our first time staying on the Caribbean side of the island. Monticello Blue Bahia surpassed our expectations for sure. The villa has its own small beach that leads out to a beautiful shallow bay where we walked, fished, swam, snorkelled, kayaked, and saw a variety of sea creatures and seashells. The water was much calmer than our experience on the Atlantic side, allowing us to spend a great deal of our time on and in the water. Our girls enjoyed basking in the sun on the beautiful top desk. We were a five minute drive to Island Farm where we purchased vegetables, fruit, beer, wine, and the most delicious cinnamon buns, and the drive was short into Governor's Harbour as well as a variety of sights and restaurants.

The villa itself has been recently renovated and has two especially beautiful bedrooms with king size beds, two beautiful bathrooms, a beautiful kitchen, and extra beds for those with larger groups.

We would definitely love to visit Blue Bahia again. A great place for a rejuvenating retreat.

Beautiful, quiet location & great owner!

The island itself is beautiful and a great family destination. It's relatively quiet and doesn't have a million 'pre-packaged' tours and activities, but the draw here is that you CAN find amazing secluded beaches still.

Ten Bay is a great beach - by far the most folks we saw was about 16 on the entire length and there were typically much less than that. Kayaking from the back porch and out of the bay was superb. Water is calm, clear and brilliantly blue.

The house itself is newly renovated and very clean. We cooked about half our meals at the house and you will find about anything you need in the kitchen (blender, toaster, coffee maker, pots/pans, dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, tupperware, etc. House has a deck upstairs as well as the sitting are right by the water that I'm sure you'll see in the pics. Master, kitchen and living are upstairs and queen bedroom, bunk room, full bath, and laundry are downstairs.

The owner was quite friendly and fast with responses. That's something that can make a 180° difference in the overall experience and I would tell anyone that their dealings with her will be friendly and easy. The contacts she provided us with (property manager and car rental) were super nice and helpful guys. We didn't have any problems that needed sorting out, but I felt like they either one of those fellows would have helped in any way needed.

Overall, the house is in an excellent 'base' location from which you can easily access the whole island though it's a bit closer to the southern end which was a draw for us. Don't miss the southern end of the island, but make sure to leave time to hang out at Ten Bay itself.

This is an easy recommendation!
